Car Run Off The Road On West Street

On January 24th, 2011, an off-duty Walpole police officer called Wrentham Police to report that he watched a Ford dump truck run a car off the road on West Street.  The off-duty officer continued to follow the suspect vehicle until a Wrentham officer was able to stop him at the end of Beach Street near Taunton Street.

Officer Barry McGrath made the stop of the truck in question and was assisted by Officer Julie Barrett of Plainville Police.  Sgt. James Barrett arrived next and assisted.  Officer McGrath arrested Mandeville for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor.

Mandeville was transported to the police station where he was booked and processed.  He was later released on personal recognizance and will appear in the morning at the Wrentham District Court.

Shoplifting Arrest At Outlet Mall Leads To Drug Charges

On January 17th, 2011, Officer Barry McGrath and Sgt. Jeffrey Smith detained three shoplifting suspects at the Wrentham Village Premium Outlets.  A brief investigation led to the recovery of $200.00 worth of stolen items from the Polo Store. 

During a search of the car that the stolen items were hidden in, Off. Todd Schwalbe identified a sophisticated drug "hide" behind the glove box of the car.  Inside, Officer Schwalbe recovered 30 packages of marijuana.

Lopes, the owner of the car, was charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute same.  Renelique was charged with with the theft of the Polo Store property.  Both men will be summoned to appear at Wrentham District Court.

01-07-2011 MORGAN, Kristen (Franklin, MA) - Arrested for multiple offenses including a subsequent offense of driving on a suspended license.  Arrest made by Intermittent Officer Leary.

01-10-2011 HORAN, Seth (Wrentham, MA) - Arrested on a warrant for assault and battery by Officers Todd Schwalbe and Barry McGrath.

01-17-2011 WHALEN, Thomas (Attleboro, MA) - Arrested for assault and battery by Officer Scott Ellis and Sgt. George Labonte at the Arbor Inn.

01-17-2011 BELIN, Macarthur (Attleboro, MA) - Arrested for multiple default warrants at the Wrentham Village Premium Outlets by Officer Barry McGrath.
